NASSCOM Played Cupid

The Challenge

One of the toughest obstacles entrepreneurs face is finding the right co-founder for their startup. There are lot of factors that come into play when deciding on a co-founder but the most crucial yet difficult obstacle is creating a platform that others are interested in and can connect easily.

We, at Frog Walks Out handled the digital media mandate of Nasscom 10,000 Startups. For Valentine’s Day, we strategised – #BeMyValenTech where 10,000 Startups played cupid for those looking for co-founders for their tech ventures.

Simple Execution

Two-step process.
First, we created fun and playful posts and tweets around the importance of finding the right co-founder, drawing parallels of how a co-founder is as important as one’s significant other. We connected finding the right co–founder with Valentines day.

Second, with every post, there was a CALL TO ACTION for people who were interested. They had to fill a simple Google Form where they provided their name and other necessary details. A confirmation email was sent to everyone who wrote to 10,000 Startups, thus confirming the person’s request.

A date with your #ValenTech
1)      With the help of digitally strategized campaign, 10,000 Startups took the onus of connecting the relevant parties to each other through email.
2)     The entire online activity concluded in “meet ups” in the form of networking sessions in all major cities.
3)     Over 100 meet-ups were arranged in 12 cities across India.

Results

a)      More than 250 entrepreneurs registered for the meet-up
b)      Over 500 new fans liked us on Facebook
c)       Our page reach soared by 5000 and reached to about 20,000
d)       We got over 20,000 Impression of our tweets
