The Design Difference was a charrette organized by The Japan Society's Innovator's Network and the non-profit Common Ground. Internationally renowned designers and thinkers from Southeast Asia and the United States met to try to address Brownsville's problems through design.
Led by Valerie Casey, founder of the Designers Accord, we helped facilitate the charrette. Afterwards we worked to consolidate the hundreds of community-improving solutions into 5 main design concepts. These 5 concepts, along with the process, were posted on GOOD in the hopes of getting others involved in the next steps.
