Chalk lettering project for my entry-level typography class.
I chose to illustrate a quote by the architectural photographer Julius Shulman. Upon receiving an honorary degree from Woodbury University, Shulman gave the following supremely simple and profound address. This lovely, small speech and the work of Shulman are featured in the documentary Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman, directed by Eric Bricker.
