Still Life Photography
Introduction
This project was created for my Photography class at George Brown College. It was my final assignment, a series of still life. I chose kiwi as my shotting item because it has transparent texture which I think it's very suit for this project, that's the main reason why I pick this fruit.
Materials
Clean white cloth
Kiwi
Thread
DSLR camera
Ikea desk lamp
Step 1
Cut the kiwi in slices as thin as you can and pick the best condition one for shotting.
Step 2
Use needle and Thread pierce through edge of kiwi carefully.
Tie a knot to secure the kiwi. From my personal experience, I would recommend pierce two holes to make kiwi stable. Otherwise, it will spin itself while you shotting.
Step 3
Place the white cloth behind the slice of kiwi, and tape cotton line on ceiling or somewhere high. At last, adjust desk lamp where you like for you the final result.
Step 4
This is RAW file without any editing.
Use photoshop to remove thread and hole. You can also play with other lighting setting as well.
Final version of kiwi
see you next time
