“38th Parallel North” is an academic project developed in 2015. This project explores the differences and dichotomies between two countries, which although have already belonged to the same territory, are today with their backs turned. 

These differences are transposed to this physical object, were we explored the different lifestyle, rules and behaviour of each society. Divided in tree section, we explored North Korea, a closed and conservative society (red) versus South Korea, a democratic and western culture (blue). In the middle, it’s possible to find section printed only in black, which gives us the contextualisation of the rupture between these two countries.
