One of our sales representatives asked me to come up with a unique piece to get a specific clients attention. The information given for target were "he's a Giants fan & he lives in Florida". I took this as an opportunity to use some of my lettering & illustration skills & have some fun. After some brainstorming & speaking with our rep the idea of using a "b" horror movie poster as a guide we started off with some thumbnails. The inspiration for this concept came from "the Creature from the Black Lagoon" & "Attack of the 50 ft. Woman.

The background. What do the NY Giants & Florida have in common? Anyone from the Tri State area knows the classsic Springsteen line, "from the swamps of Jersey" and the Giants have had a bit of an identity crisis, they represent NY but play in the Meadowlands in New Jersey. And well Florida really is just one big swamp.
Painted the player.
To get the copy right I hand lettered & photographed.
Again hand lettered & photographed. Tried to retain some of the NY Giants logos character while making the lettering fit the project.
Started bringing the pieces together in Photoshop.
