The Printed Web is an academic project made in the beginning of 2016, while I was finishing my Masters Degree in Editorial Design. The aim of this project is to explore and communicate the ideas and thoughts transmitted by a series of masterclasses organised in our Master Programme. In each session, a different designer, artist or researcher was invited to share his or her professional experience.
This book was created to be a compilation of the digital research that took place after each masterclass. I focused in the universe created by each person, seeking to find out more about every reference, author or book that they’ve mentioned.
I explored the characteristics and aesthetics of the digital medium, using elements such as the hyperlink, the image, the non-linear reading and multimedia. The concepts of appropriation and plagiarism are also explored, since almost all content is taken from the research and not created by me.
