THE BIRTH OF THE GOD TSLA
Tsla, god, sorcerer, creator and caretaker, son of Yakonero and brother of the MUICHIKAJINE. He, along with his brothers, killed the tigers that murdered his mother, who was a human with the ability to shapeshift into a tiger.
This is a serie of illustrations I made for my final project, presenting two different art styles, but the same story.
This legend is from the mashco-piro community (they don't call themselves that way though) who live in the amazon jungle between Peru and Brazil.
Yakonero is a woman who lives with the tigers. She can also shapeshift into a tiger herself.
While pregnant, she got eaten by the tigers, for her children were human, but the uterus was saved.
When the four brothers grew up to adulthood, they hunted the tigers who killed their mother.
After that, Tsla with the help of his brothers created the humans with yellow and red sand.
