Call A Stranger

How can we encourage in-depth authentic human connection and conversation between total strangers in order to alleviate loneliness, and the feeling that we have no one to confide certain things in?

I created a series of crude posters with my personal smart phone number on them and a message to call if you have something you want to talk about. I began putting them up in downtown San Francisco and Oakland where I live, then I started to get a whole bunch of calls! Watch the video below or go the call a stranger website to find out what happened.
This project is an ongoing participatory experiment in, social art practice, human connection, guerrilla advertising, the art of conversation, fear of strangers, urban loneliness, heartbreak and situational/community art. To participate in the project just give me a call! (805) 588-7875
