Logo 1
This logo was made for my Intro to Multimedia class project, where we had to design 10 logos for class. We had to make logos from scratch, using Adobe Illustrator, which I found a bit challenging at first. The only expectation for this project was a finished logo that I had to create by myself. I chose this one because, although simple, it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It is simple because I just have my initials (RZ) in a cursive font that I really liked, in the center of a circle. I used a gradient color for this circle, using turquoise and teal, which I think go great together. I made the font white because it symbolizes simplicity, and I like the way it looked together. It makes a nice, uniform logo that I am proud of. The logo is not meant for anything in particular, other than my own personal branding, which is why I used my own initials for it. I feel that I accomplished my goal for this project because I made a logo using the tools and skills I learned in class.
Logo 2
This is probably the fourth or fifth logo that I had made for my Intro to Multimedia class project, but the one that I liked second best. Both logos I like a lot, but I could only choose one, and I felt the first one was a little more simple and to-the-point. This logo is more complex -- not by much -- and has a few more design elements than the first one. For one, it is a series of triangles, making a bigger triangle. I liked this design because although one triangle, you could see the other triangles because I used different colors for them all -- again, a color scheme that I felt went well together (cool colors, like blues, purples, and greens). I used Adobe Illustrator, as stated before, because it was the same project as the first logo. I feel that I met my expectations in this second logo as well because it uses my initials and my username (ryannanthonyy) that I use for everything, so you could clearly tell it was made for personal branding reasons. Overall, I thought I achieved my goal and did a very good job creating both logos.
Tessellation
For this project, I had to create a tessellation using my own creativity. I used Adobe Illustrator for this project as well, and the only expectation was to create a pattern in order to make a tessellation. I thought this project was challenging, but once I got the hang of the idea, and how to use Illustrator, it was very simple. I used the theme of triangles, again, for this project, but I am not sure why -- I just feel they make some cool and unique shapes/patterns. I used a blue background color that I really liked at first, then added some triangles in a row. I made the triangles clear (hallow) and made the outline a little thicker than default settings and made the color of that yellow. Then for some of the triangles I used two different patterns that came stock with Illustrator. I feel that the pattern colors went well with all the colors together, in order to make a unique and uniform tessellation pattern for class. I think I achieved my desired outcome because I was satisfied with my work, and I got a good grade for it.
