Instructed drawing
Michał Wirtel, 2015

The aim of the project was to expand the space of drawing from one, typically individual place and point of view to multiple places and people. It was achieved by producing a previously designed large format figure drawing made of 64 abstract drawings created by the participants who were not aware how the finished artwork would look. The project was also an experiment in drawing not from imagination, but by following text instructions. Each individual drawing starts with a sketch, in this case, the text instruction is a sketch.
