Hotel and Resort photography as any architectural project requires a lot of planning and preparation.
Each area has to be scouted in advance in order to be able to work with the best natural light available before starting to introduce the artificial lighting to further enhance each angle.
Sometimes it can take hours of prepping and styling before you can set up your angle.
One of the elements I personally loved about this jobs that sometimes could be frustating is the sky. Even when you are indoors, you still will see in some areas part of the sky, clouds, etc. It can help you enhance the shot or break it. And no matter how good you are in Photoshop the satisfaction of getting it right from the camera is the best feeling.
