Fighting for What's Right is Worth It

This project is inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha. The young woman is based on my eight year old daughter, with a few changes to her face to make her appear older, reflecting her announcement that she will grow up to be POTUS, after seeing Hillary Clinton on the debate stage in October 2016 (which is why she's dressed in a pantsuit similar to what HRC wore in the third debate of the 2016 election cycle). Irises represent hope, with purple being the mix of blue and red for the two major parties. The words along the top are from HRC's concession speech, and a beautifully succinct reminder to keep taking whatever steps are necessary to ensure that my daughter will grow up in a world of hope and equality.
My eight year old daughter, posing for this project while getting her hair cut. To make her look older, I thinned out and elongated her face, and gave her prominent cheekbones and chin. At her request, her freckles remained.
