Side Note:

My Father passed away on June 29th, 2015. This came out of nowhere, and left me to take care of his estate. And art has always been my go to for feelings. I did a lot of commissions for people over that summer, of a personal level. The day before my father passed I did a sketch. The sketch was of something I've done since I child, which concerned the daycare staff and elementary staff, is flowers with skulls and eyeballs in them. A close friend of my father commissioned me to let my emotions of through that sketch. I did so, it went from a sketch, to another, to an inking, a digital mess, and finally, this painting. With this I tried to rap the cold, hard past with all the good glaring back at me with my father's blue eyes, in a neat little bow. Which is why the bow is the most detailed part of the painting.
Warmth, 2015, Mixed Media on Mixed Media Paper: Alcohol Based Markers, Colored Pencil and, Ink, 9" by 12", Personal Illustration.

Side Note:

I was born with a chemical imbalance that gives me depression naturally. Some days are grand, some days are not. This was a very good day during a very confusing stressful time period. I took the colors that my brain was seeing that pleased it, and transcribed it with experimentation.

Where does it start?, 2016, Digital Painting, 5.976" x 8.496", Personal Illustration

Side Note:

This started as a thumbnail for my Junior Illustration Studio. I decided to push it further.
Self Portrait, 2016, Digital Painting, 11" by 17", PCA&D Assignment Illustration

Side Note:

When one thinks of their selves, they typically don't envision themselves decapitated. We were to depict ourselves with things we enjoy. I personally enjoy crystals, goats and studying all the fascinating shapes of human and animal forms.
Cair Paravel, 2016, Mixed Media: Oil Painting on Stretched Canvas, Digital, 8" by 10", Personal Illustration

Side Note:

I enjoy mixing mediums and styles. Oil painting is a grand love of mine, especially interpretive. The oil painting reminded me of The Chronicles of Narnia, so I took the feeling I have towards the series, and just began drawing lines on photoshop. Within those lines I saw a figure. I personified those lines into the figure you see before you.
Home, 2016, Digital, 11" by 17", PCA&D Assignment Illustration

Side Note:

For this project we had illustrate how we view our home. When I think of my home, I think of my cat, my plants, all the the things I've collected, drowning in all the blanks in my bed, all wrapped up in several cups of tea. I reworked this piece from the state it was when I turned the assignment in.
Grace (Tattoo Design), 2016, Digital, 11" by 17", Personal Illustration

Side Note:

Each year I try and do Inktober, not the best of things come from Inktober, but on occasions a grand idea comes along. This is one of those grand ideas. This idea is from my 2015 Inktober. The original was a rough, quick, multi-ink design. Looking back, it needed work. So, I took the challenge to revamp it and ink it in a way that would work as a tattoo design. This design went through about 10 different ink styles, shadow plays.
Thank you for your time.
Have a splendiferous day!
