4 double page spreads inspired by Jim Morrison's 'An American Prayer'
Jim Morrison 'An American Prayer'
Using a paragraph of this song/poem to inspire the layout of 4 double page spreads
The aim of this exercise was to get inspired from the lyrics and come up with a layout for 4 different double page spreads - where we could only use one image. I created a photomontage that was inspired from these paragraphs of the song:

"Do you know we are being led to slaughters by placid admirals
& that fat slow generals are getting obscene on young blood
Do you know we are ruled by T.V.
The moon is a dry blood beast
Guerilla bands are rolling numbers in the next block of green vine
amassing for warfare on innocent herdsmen who are just dying"

"We have assembled inside this ancient & insane theatre
To propagate our lust for life & flee the swarming wisdom of the streets
The barns are stormed
The windows kept & only one of all the rest
To dance & save us
W/ the divine mockery of words
Music inflames temperament"

This is the result:
