After my grandfather died last year, my uncle found several old family photos while going through his possessions. My uncle found photos of my great-grandparents that were taken when they were very young (c. 1920) and another taken when they were older. The two images of my great-grandparents in their youths were faded and in danger of being lost forever. The other image is a Polaroid, which was also showing signs of age.
I never knew my great-grandfather, Ben, but I did know my great-grandmother, Ester. As a birthday present to my mother, I restored these images and had new copies printed. Below are the results.
