Can we re-claim Canary Wharf
grounds through a temporary occupation?
For this purpose, I want to mobilize its
history: my idea is to set up a series live
performance events in Canary Wharf.
The inspiration comes from the
London Dockers Strike of 1889, where
hundreds of thousands of Dockers
protested for their work rights, marching
in front of their workspaces.
The reason why the Great Strike took
place was due to the brutal condition
of the dockers. It used to be the most
precarious job, the salary was never
granted.
