hmp inc. is a Canadian skincare brand that values the potential and benefits that organic hemp seeds could bring to your body. The challenge for this project is to create hemp products that have been generally catered towards a younger hip group, and appeal to a higher end audience. The objective for this project is to design a branding system and packaging that stands out in a competitive cosmetic industry targeting the demographic of those between 25 to 35 years of age, who are health conscious and care about the sustainability of our environment.
As “organic” and “natural” become evermore popular, there are countless products labelled organic but not to be true to consumer despite boasting 100% natural or organic, but cut corners on production compromising the final quality of the product. Differentiating hmp from these other too-good-to-be-true products was design challenge, where we decided to adapt a crossing line “NO” throughout the entire brand system. Gender-neutral colour palettes are applied to appeal both female and male.
