This brand design was created for a senior capstone project, in which each design student created his or her own company and then create all promotional items that would be associated with it. I created Flipleaf, a book publisher. The target was younger audiences with a love for learning and a desire to expand their minds. With everything I designed, I ensured the piece could be applied to a variety of books, advertisements, and promotional pieces as that would be a big part of where this logo would find its use. This was accomplished through designing with a variety of ages in mind, as the publisher would be printing books from children’s literature to adult fiction and self-help books. The brand reflects a youthfulness at heart and a passion for knowledge without looking playful or childish. I also ensured the brand could work in color or black and white, and that it would be effective on a variety of backgrounds.
