A portfolio website design is important for representing yourself in the way you intend. This school project had each student design a personal portfolio website to showcase our work and personality. 

I chose to create a gallery theme to showcase all my work, while giving a feel of tangibility to the site. I set up the pages so you navigate “through” the gallery, rather than using navigation bars to jump from page to page. A map tells you what room you are in and you move from one showcase to the next as you move from one page to the other. I came up with the idea of using an actual map instead of a traditional navigation bar to add to the tangible feel of the design and to allow the viewer to participate in moving through the site as well as to allow for easy navigation without breaking up the theme that I had created throughout.
