Aircraft digital paint job for JBLP.ca
This project was a lot of fun and work.
We had to replace the original paint of some aircraft footage with the design of the new jet.

This was made with a 3d model and some paint scheme references provided by our client. We had to track the 3D plane over the one of the footage and then compose it over in After Effects, sometimes having to erase the original plane from the scene.
Some scenes were made purely with planar tracking and Roto Painting in Mocha and After Effects.
This scene was made by compositing a 3D render of the Plane over the original background, but first we had to delete the original plane.
The tail of the plane was rendered in Maya and placed over the original one in After Effects. In order to delete the painting of the fusselage, every part of it was tracked in Mocha and masked over with Solids in AE. Here we can see part of the process. Every mask was animated over the 171 frames of the scene.
