“Josip Vaništa: Infinite Cane — Homage to Manet”, by philosopher and author Ljerka Schiffler, is the first book in the new Nucleus Edition published by the Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art, and it presents a part of the museum’s permanent collection, the Collection in Motion.
The identity of the Nucleus Edition is defined by a format, the position of the logo in the upper left corner, and by a side view of the museum on the back of the book, with a dot marking the physical location of the artwork concerned in the museum. The design of this edition is characterized by an unexpected choice of typography and the usage of empty space as a design medium.
