“Humans of New York began as a photography project in 2010.
The initial goal was to photograph 10,000 New Yorkers on the street,
and create an exhaustive catalogue of the city’s inhabitants."
This project was a proposed front-end website concept for the Humans of New York (HONY)—the famous
photoblog of street portraits and interviews collected on the streets of New York City—which aimed to make
the powerful photographs the heroes of the site, with incepts of quotes with the option to expand throughout to
create a more streamlines website layout that allowed you to move easily back through the photo archives.
The bold pops of yellow pay homage to the iconic New York taxi to tie the content to its location.
