Our task for this group design project was to select a logo that we believed was poorly designed and re-design it according to its intended target market. We researched the target market to develop an understanding of the target market’s needs and relationship to the product that was produced.
A few questions we asked ourselves were:
- What are the goals and problems experienced by the target audience and how does the product provide a solution?
- Why does the logo we have selected to redesign fails to adequately connect with the target market?
We were instructed to use design principles from the semester to perform our analysis and calculate the logo’s propositional density. Then, we are to redesign the logo utilizing good design principles and calculate the propositional density of the new logo.
We selected the United Nations as our focus for the re-design.
