Clap/Enjoué is a reactive installation composed of two devices and a screen that hides them, the translucency of the screen serves as an invitation for people to go into the space behind the screen. Created under the notion of duplicity, the installation proposes a transition between two seemingly opposed states: chaos and joy. It was conceived as a metaphor for my arrival to Canada and the beginning of the art's master.

The scale of the installation sought to give the feel of immersion, once people go behind the screen they have a different perspective of the piece.

The objects reacted to the quantity of people in the gallery by changing their behavior. When there were just a couple people they'd adopt a more mellow behavior; as the quantity of people increased the object's behavior became more active and chaotic.

The number of people was calculated using two switch pressures located at the entrance of the gallery. The data was sent to the devices using xbee technology
