Where did they go after years of service? (Part II)

Where did they go after years of service? (Part II)

With the arrival of modern trains, sixty-year-old service of Schienenbus (Serbian - Шинобус, English - Railbus) has ceased. They are not leaving their garages any more, as they used in decades before. Younger, faster, and more attractive took over their job. Is it better this way, with the arrival of successor? Well for sure ride is more comfortable, pleasant, but unfortunately something that adorned Schienenbus journey was lost. That something is a soul! No more small or long talks, there is less and less lost stares through the window lost in distance, while letting your thoughts roam around. Instead of that, we have screen of cell phone, laptop – pile of information, … But what’s it all worth it, when you do not feel desire to share it with someone in a real world?
Today, Schienenbus are waiting for their end, lonely, in half-dark, peeking out through windows of storage depot, secretly hoping for one more ride, for one more hubbub, and for one more successful transportation of their passengers, before they are cut down and melted into something new, modern, and soulless. Technology progress is unavoidable, but is it possible to create compromise between technology and soul?
