SWIMSUIT

A photography book featuring swimsuit collections for Roxy, Calzedonia, Tezenis, Ripcurl, Arena and Nico Nico swimwear. Shot between 2009 and 2011 by Peter Podolinsky with various models. Besides swimwear collections the focus was on getting the best out of the locations where the shooting was taking place. This approach is different from the traditional swimwear catalogue shots which are typically made in the studio, where swimsuits are normally not worn. The idea was to present swimsuits in places where they naturally belong to, at the beach, by the pool and in some cases even in the cities and in the mountains.

This photo-shooting style is characteristic for SI Swimsuit Issue. The photographs are as close to natural as possible, retouching is kept to minimum. There are no changes applied to model's body shapes, no breast enlargements, no slimming via Liquify filter, nothing like that. Only minor exposure and color corrections were done, a bit of skin softening, as well as reducing the noise and sharpening the photos where needed.
