Last year, in the middle of the cold and nasty Berlin winter, which is by no means wonder land, our professor came up with a new 1 month project - Ice, create a new product and scenario for icecream using molding technics and silicon. The first things that came to my mind were vanilla cream with hot strawberries, strong drinks that make you feel warm and chinese tea bowls.
What i created is a bowl with a limetree socket and a silicon mold that lets you create an ice layer within the bowl. The variations are endless. My friend in the picture above enjoys his muddled mission on a lemon - rosmary layer. Below we prepared a horchata layer, wich has been topped with a raw rasp & blueberry mousse.

Pouring a Muddled Mission on the ice layer.
An embedded piece of rosemary.
Some tasty horchata waiting to get poured in to the bowl. On the left you see the silicon plug mould, that forms the ice layer.
