These are rubber stamps I made after I completed my college application. Pretty similar with carving wood in printmaking, I just carved out all the white areas on a carving block. 

This is a calendar I made for my friend with 12 characters from the Japanese animation called One Piece.

This is a stamp I made out of real stone. This kind of stamp was widely used in ancient China as signature for painters and calligraphers. The typeface is called "xiao zhuan", which first appeared in Qin dynasty.
