UI DESIGN - AMEX Part 2 (Card referral to friends)

Prototype for the Amex friend referral feature

By choosing to refer the Amex card to a friend (let's call her Sara), the user (let's call her Amy) may choose to either send a preset message either via 'Messenger', 'Whatsapp' or by email.

In the following screen capture, Amy chooses to send the message via 'Whatsapp'.

On Sara's phone, she receives a message of Amy's recommendation of the Amex credit card. Sara proceeds by tapping on the hyperlink 'American Express site'.

The card which Amy recommended is the Amex Platinum Credit Card. However, Sara is interested to find out more about other cards being offered and taps on 'View all cards'.

Here, a list of Amex cards is being displayed. Sara may learn more about each cards by tapping 'Learn More'. In this case, Sara opts for the 'American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card' and taps on 'Apply Now'

During the application process, a progress indicator is displayed on top of the screen showing the step where Sara is currently in. By having the application process broken down into small steps, Sara would find it less overwhelming to complete the form.

Here, Sara taps on the 'Continue' button after filling up her name and contact details.

Sara has her identity card (known as NRIC in Singapore) with her, so she could simply scan it and the data accepts the information on it as input.

After scanning her identity card, Sara fills up information of her education, residence status and her employment status. She may either chooses to set her own credit limit or let the bank make the decision for her.

As Sara continues, she needs to submit documents regarding her income. She may either chooses to scan her CPF Statement, Income Statement or her Payslip.

If she has these document stored on her phone, she may chooses to upload one. She could also choose to sign into Singpass (an online portal maintained by the Singapore government) to submit a document instead.

Here, Sara chooses to scan one of her documents.

After scanning the document, the details are retrieved by the bank and validated in a short time. In the final step, Sara receives an approval from the bank and she is able to receive the digital card on her phone.
