For VICE's Weekends column writer Neha Kale revisited her teen mallrat years, spent rattling around shopping malls for hours and days on end. When VICE approached me to illustrate the article I drifted off to my own teenage self and the time I burnt in the shopping centre a few stops up from where I grew up — a fair place to start looking for imagery of such a familiar, shared experience.
