A Slice Of Wave
A wave is known to be fluid and constantly in motion. I thought it would be interesting to try and freeze this motion. This would allow me to analyze, extract and visualize the most essential part of any wave, the moment when it is breaking.
I chose to work with wood and a rocky surface because of it’s important relationship with the beach. With these materials I created a contrast between the four main segments of the object.
Process of the work
The whole object becomes an abstract representation of a wave that has been taken out of the ocean and placed onto the beach.
