Ace Hardware: 'Helpful Home'

Ace Hardware has a stellar reputation for delivering expert, personalized advice to its in-store customers. But its digital presence was sadly lacking. So when Organic pitched for the business, we proposed creating 'Helpful Home', a digital experience that would allow customers to get instant help and tips on maintaining their homes. Mobile apps and FaceTime allowed for one-on-one interactions with store associates and Ace experts. Customers could also get answers from other customers, and could register for maintenance reminders and other timely updates.

Although we didn't get the business, it's interesting to note that about eight months after our pitch, Ace's main competitor (Lowe's Hardware) launched virtually the exact same digital idea.
