DAILY VLOGGING

vlog {noun}: a blog that features mostly videos rather than text or images.

I made a vlog every day for 50 days.
During this time I was also in the throws of my other two YouTube series Creative Spaces TV and That Creative Life.

It was honestly the most challenging thing I have ever done on YouTube. I wanted to see if switching to daily content would drastically grow my channel. It has worked brilliantly for so many othersBiggest lesson learned - what works for one person does not mean it will necessarily work for you. Try new things and constantly get uncomfortable on YouTube but listening to your audience and paying attention to data is important.

I became so focused on the quantity of content that it became repetitive and very rarely were the videos topical and/or searchable so I was catering to the same audience over and over.

I care a great deal over the aesthetic and feel of every video I make. A daily edit and upload would take me 4-7 hours. It started to take away from other things that I wanted to do and when the results no longer justified the time and energy, I pivoted.

Now I upload three times a week and it allows the opportunity to create more across all platforms and create the content I really care about on YouTube. I fell in love with vlogging during this time period - just not daily vlogging.

I did capture some pretty amazing moments. Below are my top 5 favorite vlogs from the series of videos!

-
5. Randomly became friends with a guy who did fancy skateboard tricks for us in a SoHo alley. Classic New York.
4. This was not a fancy video but I asked my audience questions about themselves and over 2.6k responded in the comments section. People were talking to each other and building relationships in THE COMMENT SECTION OF A YOUTUBE VIDEO. I really enjoyed getting to know the Peachy Fam; many comments were read that day.
3. I signed my first NYC apartment lease. EPIC.
 2. This one just makes my heart happy. The beginnings of finding a NYC apartment and great friend hangs on a beautiful day in Central Park.
1. I JUMPED OUT OF PLANE. Something I never thought I would do but I'm glad I did it! (never again though HA)
