
This project covers the design of the mechanics and concept art for a multiplayer video game. The objective is, through the specific mechanics, break the asymmetry of the conditions between people who suffer from depression and people who don't. This is accomplished by creating empathy in individuals who don't suffer the disease, by showcasing it and simulating the required conditions for dialog between the two players.
The result is an asymmetric, cooperative adventure game. A human and a ghost have to work together to find out what happened to the ghost in life, despite the difficulties of dialoguing between life and afterlife. The story, levels and characters were designed to reflect the different notions related to depression.
