In this project I experiment with real materials in order to create book covers that visually convey a certain literature genre and mood. For this book series I chose three authors including Ernest Hemingway, Erich Maria Remarque and Paolo Coelho. I use coffee for the Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises, wet window for the Coelho’s By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept and black ink on glass for the Remarque’s Three Comrades.
