2017 Typographic and Lettered Calendar
The inspiration for this calendar started from the uncertainty and uneasiness of the upcoming year, both for myself and for my country. But as the election wore on and the vote came to pass with a newly elected president, the swirling motion of the lettering illustration became even more significant. The next year holds much unpredictability and could go in many different directions, but will most certainly be filled with suspense. The graceful, free-flowing lines grounded by the reality of the hard edge dates, represents this palpable tension. In my eyes, the beauty I tried to create with this calendar is meant to oppose the negativity and possible pain that will be felt throughout the year.
