I was recently given the opportunity to shoot some classic cars for a museum/art space opening in a town near mine. I had worked with this collector before (see my Godfather project), so I knew I would have to shoot some classic material for his purposes and then he'd let me shoot some fun stuff for my book. He had a number of classic Nash cars, which were given as prizes to Miss America in the 1950's. She was also their spokesperson for a number of years, so I styled the entire shoot around that decade (I even made a sash from scratch based on pictures of Miss America from that period). After shooting the normal stuff, I had the models cat fight it out. My goal being to make a mini-series that was both bright, beautiful and idealized while also being humorous. I think they nailed it, don't you?
