Danish cleantech companies are characterized by having innovative niche products, which often represent a small component of the solutions are in demand. This applies to SMEs which are particularly challenged because they typically do not have large budgets to provide market access, but also Danish flagship of the companies which are big in the Danish context, but relatively small by international standards. To ensure that Denmark continues to be in the lead in exports of cleantech area, a significant part of future export based on "solution-based sales," where Danish companies working together to deliver a solution rather than focusing more narrowly on selling its own products . There is thus a need for a paradigm shift in business approach for export. With the project CLEAN want to help ensure that Danish producers actively going through the paradigm shift required to go from product sales to solution-based export.
