Unsolicited redesign of the PlayStation Vita OS UI, handheld Sony console often criticised by the public for its User Interface.
This was my first ever design project that I undertook mainly as a challenge to explore alternative design, UI/UX, and to better learn the Adobe suite. Noteworthy how I implemented a blur effect on out of focus UI elements before Apple introduced it fort the first time on iOS 7 (September 2013).
A full set of mockups and flatplans was produced*, alongside a detailed study and critic of the original user experience, and further tweaks were implemented after a feedback session with reddit’s Vita community.
