I found that the more layers that I drew, and the more time that I spent on this image, the more I appreciated just how epic and original the road layouts within London were. I have visited London many times, so I am aware of how busy it is, but I think that creating this piece made me realise just how many small places and roads make up just a small part of the city.
This piece relates very closely to the everyday theme because it shows places that people visit all the time. I think that having the image in a silhouette is an original design and I think that it makes the image more interesting and can give more meaning behind it.
The lungs make this image relate more to the rebirth theme because they link to oxygen and nature. They could also have the message of breathing life into the city through having parks and nature and the lifestyle of London. Linking to the nature theme is also a big part of rebirth, which I have found throughout my sketchbook and my mind map research.
