In this file I will take you through the design process that I followed to achieve this outcome.
Firstly after we were briefed we had a look at the brand in order to keep the brands ethos and values in mind throughout the process.
Here we investigating into people that would utilize such a product. I identified three users that frequently uses power drill, the next two pages however are personas (fictional characters) of the ideal person who would buy this product.
The first phase of conceptualizing involves drawing a mass amount of ideas. This page is a compilation of a few such initial drawings. The Notes on the page is a result of presenting these concepts to the users to gather useful information that will direct my design process.
Three concept directions were identified, and explored further with continues consultations with my users.
With two final designs I left the choice to the users by having them rate different aspect of each design.
After final design direction was chosen the design had to be refined to the last detail and function
The complete model was presented to the users again for one final crit.
