Festool household companion

Research was conducted, exploring the Festool brand as well as existing cordless drill solutions.
Festool technologies and pros and cons contributed to the design research.
Two personas were created, which would guide the design process and potentially be users of the final product.
Three users were approached and they provided feedback regarding the aesthetic, function, ergonomics of the concepts. User opinions contributed to decision making throughout the process.
Concept 1 entailed of a removable section that could be used as a driver.
Concept 2 focuses on drilling at a 90 degree, with a flat front surface and a track that the driver runs along.
Concept 3 looks at a different approach to the tool and considers the different ways in which the drill can be used. In the case of this concept, the user determines how they would use it.
User feedback results
Findings were combined, presenting an overall view of the concepts. This helped determine the concept that will be refined further.
