India’s road network pitch report
India’s national highways (NH) network is around 100,000km and transport minister Nitin Gadkari expects this to double. The road transport ministry targets to award NH projects of 25,000km in financial year 2016-17 compared with 10,000km in the last financial year. Of these, 15,000km is to be awarded by the National Highways Authority of India with the balance 10,000km to be awarded by the ministry and National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corp. Ltd.
