Jardins is a calculated cursive font inspired by wrought iron metalwork. It is designed to be ornamental, but strong and clean at the same time.

Type specimen book for Jardins Typeface. It is a deliberate decision for the book to be in monochrome to highlight the crispness of the typeface.
The book is ring-bound, in line with the theme of curving metal.
I picked a subtly textured paper that has a "storybook" feel. As in, paper that won't be out of place in a classic children literature book. The exact paper that I chose was aptly named Gulliver, also a classic story. Solid and with slight tooth, this paper does not compromise the cleanness of the typeface but is "bland" enough to contrast with the content.
