HOLY WILD
I was honored to have a piece in the Earth: Fragile Planet Exhibit at the Society of Illustrators in NYC. 100 illustrators addressing the current environmental issues that we face in contemporary society. Artist Statement: The Raven has a mythic reputation in ancient and modern culture. I’m most fascinated by it’s connection to wilderness and solitude. This image seeks to catch the energy, beauty, and spiritual qualities of the wild spaces, and wild creatures we share our planet with. The Raven then becomes a symbolic reminder to not only protect and care for the natural world, but also a reminder to become more connected to it in our day-to-day lives.
