I took an advanced course in costume design where I had to create my own costume from scatch for the actress who was to play Granny in the musical "Into the Woods" I had to make appointments with the actress to get her measurements so that I could be consistent with her body type as well as the design concept for my instructor's approval. I made a mock pattern using muslin fabric until the final outline was approved. From there, I copied that pattern onto the final patter to be used for the musical. I made the pajamas as well as the night cap.
