Chicago Magazine asked me to photograph 4 area athletes for a spotlight on summer fitness activities.  Over the course of three days I found myself in the water with an Olympic hopeful swimmer, braving 40-mph winds on a golf course, up before dawn with an unbelievably cheery rowing crew, and on the surface of a velodrome while a cyclist rode past my head at over 30 mph.  Some of the most fun I've ever had on a shoot!
