Michael Lieberman was emphatic: "I only need a business card. I only want a business card. I run my entire business with this business card." Mr. Lieberman explained that he only works with people he meets in person, and has no interest in "that internet nonsense." I loved him instantly. He handed me a yellowing ecru card emblazoned with all uppercase, all centered, all sans-serif text - it almost appeared engraved, but I could tell it was thermography. The card was so stark and frightening, I almost suggested he not tinker with it, but I could not resist the challenge he issued forth: "classic yet modern" and "ornate yet minimal." This was the only design presented and we took it to press without any revisions. Mr. Lieberman's contact information, as per his request, is changed.
