"Cloud Reaction" demonstrates how sound can be seen through image in real-time. Color and size change according to frequency amplitudes. This work responds to sound and shows the viewer what a certain sound looks like through color. For some, certain sounds can trigger a synthetic visual experience of color. This phenomenon is called chromesthesia, a type of synesthesia. Anything from everyday sounds to musical notes (or keys) being played could cause this sensation to occur. Individuals rarely agree on what color a given sound is. This work attempts to show this phenomenon through my personal lens.
